Experimental investigations using quadratic?tripping characteristics based on alienation/coherence coefficients of voltage and current signals for synchronous generators protection

چکیده

A protection scheme is proposed using alienation method derived from coherence model which a backup for the differential overcurrent of synchronous generators. This realized by computational technique based on coefficients estimated generator voltage and current signals considered to be mounted beside main system, operates in cases that unable detect internal faults. novel algorithm adjusting settings suggested relay sends trip signal three-phase circuit breaker protected generator. In method, fault occurrences can determined regardless variations terminal different working states done designing new quadratic-tripping characteristics limits electrical signals. To demonstrate motor-synchronous set with built instrument transformers, measuring data at terminals, are used. Extensive experimental investigations validate functionality this under abnormal, unbalance operating conditions test.
